Area guide
Polis & Latchi
Short answer
Polis Chrysochous is a small town on the north coast of the Paphos district, about 35 km from Paphos. Latchi, a few kilometres west, is its harbour, with fish tavernas and the boats that run to the Blue Lagoon. Together they are the quiet alternative to Paphos and the natural base for the northern Akamas.
Polis or Latchi?
Polis is the town: a small centre with cafés, shops and services. Latchi is the harbour a short drive west, where the boat trips leave and where most seafront tavernas are. Staying in either works; Latchi is more convenient if you will be on the water.
