Peyia & Coral Bay

Peyia (also spelt Pegeia) is a large village on the hillside north of Paphos, with Coral Bay and its resort area on the coast below. It is the main base for beach-focused stays in the Paphos area and the gateway to the western Akamas: the sea caves, the road to Lara and Avakas Gorge.

Coral Bay vs Peyia village

Coral Bay is the resort strip on the coast: hotels, villas, restaurants and the beach. Peyia village sits higher up the hill with its own square, shops and more residential character. Many visitors use "Coral Bay" for the whole area.
